I received an email from Google+ today indicating that one of my pages was now eligible for a unique custom URL.
Upon further review of a number of pages I manage, I noticed all had the ability to now claim the custom URL, so long as they were linked to the website.
So it appears that as long as you meet all the requirements, detailed below and at their support thread, you can now claim your custom Google+ page URL.
Requirements for getting a custom URL:
Before you can get a custom URL, your account needs to be in good standing and meet the following requirements:
Eligibility for People:
- Ten or more followers
- Your account is 30 days old or more
- A profile photo
Eligibility for Local Google+ pages: Must be a verified local business
Eligibility for Non-local Google+ pages: Must be linked to a website
Note that although it appears all pages are now eligible to get the custom URLs, not all users can get them, even though the requirements are listed above.
Also some people have commented that they have having the TLD automatically added to the end of their custom URL, such as plus.google.com/+PinfographicsOrg/, without any clear reasoning.
